Title

Being the Same Person Everywhere

Scripture
You shall not have in your bag differing weights. You shall not have in your house differing measures
(Deuteronomy 25:13-14)
Devotional
We are to manage our homes and businesses with the same measure of integrity. You cannot have an honest home and a dishonest business. Nor can we cheat on our families and hold onto the integrity of our business. Our character does not change from one realm to the other. If we are takers in business, we will be takers in our homes. If we are unfaithful to our families, we will be, or are, unfaithful with regard to our businesses. A snake is a snake no matter where it is. Show me an immoral husband, and I will show you a corrupt worker, businessman, politician, or whatever the endeavor. We are basically to be the same people at home, at work, at play, at church, or wherever we may be. We cannot compartmentalize the things of God. Righteousness uses the same weights and the same measures at home, at work and at play. “For all who behave unrighteously, are an abomination to the Lord your God.”

Questions To Ponder

Morning Study Guide
Defining:  The character, attitude, and integrity of Christ was not only the same in private as in public; it was the same on earth as it was in heaven. That is how He taught us to pray, “On earth as it is in heaven,” Luke 11:2.

Referencing: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever,” Hebrews 13:8.

Applying: Know who you are and be who you are all the time. If you find yourself being one person at home and another at work or play, find the most real person you are and repent of them all and be conformed to the image of Christ.
