Title

The Battle Of Reconciliation

Scripture
A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city, and contentions are like the bars of a castle.
(Proverbs 18:19)
Devotional
Have you ever experienced this phenomenon? Are you presently experiencing it? If so, then you know through experience the truth of this proverb. Nevertheless, just because an offended brother or sister is extremely hard to win does not negate are responsibility to do our best to win them. There is little of more importance or greater value than relationships. They are precious and must be preserved. With whom are you at odds? Is there a family member that you have not spoken to because of an offence? Have you lost a close friend because of some difference? Let me challenge you to pray a very simple prayer, “Lord, what would you have me to do with regard to the one with whom I am estranged?” You may be up against a strong city or the bars of a castle; nevertheless we are more than conquers through Christ.
