Title

Is Your Heart Right?

Scripture
He greeted him and said to him, “Is your heart right, as my heart is toward your heart?”
(2 Kings 10:15)
Devotional
As believers we are instructed to be like-minded. Better than being like-minded is being of one heart. We found this oneness in the first century church, “Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart.” If you can find someone with the same heart of affection you can grow into like-mindedness. However, two people can be like-minded and differ in their hearts. Two can agree than something is good to do but have differing hearts as to why it is good. Give me a man who has a heart for God and I’ll give you a man that is after God’s own heart. Many good people have a mind for the things of God. Nevertheless, if their hearts do not follow their minds, they eventually will fail to follow God. Like-mindedness is good, like-heartedness is better. I would rather walk with a brother who has a heart for God than one who has a theology for Him.
