Title

Do Not Be an Ahab or a Jezebel

Scripture
And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done…
(1 Kings 19:1)
Devotional
It is a very unwise thing for a leader to take his problems home; especially if there is nothing that those in his house can do to remedy those problems. When a man wars with another man, the two may find peace the next day. However, when a man dumps or poormouths to his wife, she may never be able to find forgiveness to the offender. She will inevitably take up an offense for her husband. I have learned to never share a problem with my wife unless she can be an intricate part of the solution; and then, only with great caution. It is not that my wife is unwise or unable to solve problems. Peter clarifies the matter when in tells us, “Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life.” Gentlemen, do not be an Ahab, and ladies if he is, do not be a Jezebel.
