Title

I Am Willing

Scripture
“Lord, if you are willing, You can make me clean.” He put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.”
(Luke 5:12-13)
Devotional
Have you ever changed your mind? Have you ever changed another’s mind? There have been many things in my life that I have not been willing to do, but by the persistence of another, I changed my mind. We live in a generation of unbelief. We seem to no longer believe that God is willing, so we ask half-heartedly or casually. More than often, we do not ask at all. This leper came to Jesus with a real need; and he came knowing that Jesus was able to heal him. Therefore, he implored Jesus and Jesus responded with the wonderful words, “I am willing”. He is still willing. He still cares. However, our unbelief may be prohibiting Him from granting us our request. If, for some reason, He is unwilling, then keep on asking, keep on imploring and keep on supplicating until He changes His mind or until He changes yours.
Thought For The Night
Jesus didn't have to touch lepers. He could have been just as effective from a hundred yards away. But he touched them.” Don Bubna, Leadership Magazine
