Devotional
It is ungodly to see only the blemishes, faults and shortcomings of life and people. Ungodliness sees only the thorns and misses the beauty of the roses. The ungodly man is a faultfinder. He focuses on the problem instead of the solution, the darkness instead of the light and the sinner instead of the sin. He is judgmental and condemning. He not only finds fault; he is a proclaimer of it. Fault finding “Is on his lips like a burning fire.” Unfortunately this ungodliness shows up in many of us at one time or another. When we focus on life’s potholes, we will inevitably hit them. If we look to where we wish to go we will miss the potholes of life.
