Title

He Who Is With You Is Great

Scripture
When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God is with you.
(Deuteronomy 20:1)
Devotional
You may not battle against horses and chariots, but you do battle against numerous powerful enemies. When you stand for Christ, you may have to stand alone. When you stand with Him, you are never alone. It doesn’t matter how great the foe, He who is with you is greater than he who is against you. It doesn’t matter what the score, Christ is the victor. The odds have no effect on Christ. The apostle John’s first letter puts it this way, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”(1) As believers in the Most High God, we have no reason to fear man. We should never be afraid to boldly reach out and tell people the truth about Christ. No matter how many may be against you, never forget, “The Lord your God is with you.”

Referencing: “He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’” Hebrews 13:5-6

Applying: No matter what the life situation, the odds are in your favor. When you are up against it, remember, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” Philippians 4:13.
