Title

Avoid Borrower’s Wickedness

Scripture
The wicked borrows and does not repay, but the righteous shows mercy and gives.
(Psalm 37:21)
Devotional
Let me share a sure sign that someone is not able to repay a note or a loan. They will express anger or attempt intimidation. If someone wants to borrow from you and attempts to put a guilt-trip on you for not lending him or her the money, don’t! Do not lend them the money unless you are willing for them not to repay you. I have learned that banks are fairly wise institutions. If a bank says that you do not qualify for a loan, it is because they know through experience that you most likely cannot repay. Therefore, do not assist your friend by cosigning for them. You may assist them in wickedness. Likewise be slow to borrow. Why toy with the potential of wickedness. We must do all that we can to repay our debts. We cannot expect someone else to sacrifice for our errors. You and your family will have to pay the price. I would rather my children suffer with me and repay than not repay and have them in the house of wickedness. Do all that you can to pay your debt and be all that you can with regard to showing mercy.
