Title

There Is a Difference

Scripture
These are the statues which the Lord commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, and between a father and his daughter in her youth in her father’s house.
(Numbers 30:16)
Devotional
I understand the emotion of the old adage, “Your son is your son until he takes a wife. Your daughter is your daughter for the rest of your life.” There is a difference between a son and a daughter. God has never intended that there be a unisex attitude between a man and a woman. To ignore the God-given differences between men and women is not only foolish, but also dangerous. God’s design is not flawed. When we attempt to place man in the position of a woman or a woman in the place of a man, we pervert God’s order. The so-called liberation of women in our day is, in reality, the bondage of women. Likewise, the feminizing of men weakens the stability of the family, and society as a whole. When you turn upside-down God’s order, you will have an upside-down, confused world. May the Lord restore His order to our families, marriages, churches and society through a right-side-up obedience to the Word of God.

Questions To Ponder
Morning Study Guide
Defining:  God has designed and distinguished man from woman. We are to make sure that that distinction is obvious: A man ought to look and dress like a man, and a woman ought to dress and look like a woman.

Referencing: “A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God,” Deuteronomy 22:5

Applying: Recognize and honor the difference between men and women. For in Christ, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus,” Galatians 3:26.
