Title

Do Not Toy with the Enemy

Scripture
Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field… And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said…”
(Genesis 3:1)
Devotional
I want to be very careful not to give the enemy of the truth too much acclaim. Nevertheless, the deceiver of the brethren is a master at what he does. He is not to be toyed with, nor is he to be mocked. Adam and Eve were the crown jewel of creation. They were of the purest form and character. Their intelligence was perfect, their beauty sublime. Even with their unmatched attributes, the serpent was able to deceive them. It is for this reason that you and I are no match for him. All we are to do is leave him to the dealings of the Lord, Christ Jesus. Remember that even Michael the Archangel did not bring an accusation against him, but simply said, “The Lord rebuke you.” If we submit to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us. Therefore, resist his cunning ways and leave him to the Lord.
