Title

Feeding The Poor

Scripture
For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.
(2 Thessalonians 3:10)
Devotional
I do not understand poverty in God’s children, especially in America. I furthermore do not understand a man unable to find work. I am not pointing a finger of blame; I just do not understand that which I have never experienced. I have to profess with David, “I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.” Therefore, if a man is without these things, it is not God’s fault. God designed man to work; and work is a good thing. It is what God calls the things He does. If you truly want to help a man without food, give him some work to do. We are not to violate the word of the Lord. When God says, “If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat," He means what He says. If you truly wish to help the impoverished, get them to work.
