Title

If You Knew

Scripture
Go tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the Lord...’ “I have heard your prayer... I will add to your days fifteen years.”
(Isaiah 38:5)
Devotional
If you knew how many more days of life you had to live, what would you change? I am not sure of the average life span, but let's say it is eighty years. I am fifty three. That means that I have twenty seven years remaining. Nearly two-thirds of my life are gone. I have a choice. I can choose to continue my life status quo or I can reevaluate my priorities. Even though I have a very good life, the latter is the better choice. Life is so very fragile. There is no guarantee that I will have the next hour let alone the next twenty-seven years. I must, therefore, count every day and make every day count. Life is too precious to just allow it to haphazardly happen. Therefore, focus on the important aspects of life, not the urgent. Plan your work and work your plan. Don’t hoard you life; invest it. . Do the things that give the greatest return. Instead of fifteen years, what if you had fifteen days. What would you do with them? Be careful how you answer; for your answer will reveal your character.
