Title

Walk In the Blessing

Scripture
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
(Psalm 32:1)
Devotional
Redemption does not say that I will be blessed; it shouts that I have already been blessed. When we realize who we are in Christ, and that He has already blessed us, all that remains for us is to walk in that blessing. The blessing is in us. We possess it.
Christ has blessed us with an abundant life. (1) He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us.(2) As a matter of fact, “All the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”(3)
Stop waiting for the blessing and start walking in the blessing. It is in you. It is in you to prosper. It is in you to have a great marriage. It is in you to live righteously. It is in you to succeed in all that God has called you to do. We have been forgiven, and that forgiveness is not a temporal loan, but an eternal gift. We are free to fulfill the manifold blessings of God in our lives. We are blessed, now let us walk in those blessings.

Thought For The Night
As a rule, prayer is answered and funds come in, but if we are kept waiting, the spiritual blessing that is the outcome is far more precious than exemption from the trial.” J. Hudson Taylor (1832-1905), English Missionary to China, Founder of the China Inland Mission

Defining:  To be blessed in God’s kingdom is to realize that all the promises of God are ours and that if not in this life, that in the next, all of our troubles, heartaches, and sorrows will be wiped away. It is the knowledge of the presence of Christ in our lives.

Referencing: “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.” Romans 4:7-8 (quoting Psalm 32:1-2)

Applying: Stop waiting to be blessed and start walking in the blessing you already have. Do this and additional blessings will come. “For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him,” Matthew 13:12.
