Title

Its Not Over Until God Says Its Over

Scripture
My days are past, my purposes are broken off, even the thoughts of my heart.
(Job 17:11)
Devotional
Have you ever felt this way? Maybe this is your present commentary. Job was sure that his life was over. He lost most of his wealth, all of his children; and his wife told him that he ought to just curse God and die. His body was covered with boils and his “friends” blamed him for his demise. It does not get much worse than this. When we put our problems in perspective with Job’s, ours seem to diminish. Our lives are not over until God says that they are over. Consider Job and what about Moses. He was eighty years old before he began to lead God’s people out of bondage. Sarah was ninety when she had Isaac. If you belong to Christ and if you still have breath, God has a purpose for you. Therefore, don’t give up. Hold on to your dreams. Believe God for the fulfillment of them. Remember, God not only restored Job’s loss, He double restored them.
