Title

Submitting To The Righteousness Of God

Scripture
For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.
(Romans 10:3)
Devotional
Moses said it this way, “You shall not at all do as we are doing here today-every man doing whatever is right in his own eyes.” Without submitting to the Lordship of Christ, this is exactly what we will do. Note, I did not say without Christ, I said, without the Lordship of Christ. When we determine what is good and just, we will inevitably miss what is good and just according to Christ. Whether we do it ignorantly as our text proclaims or willfully as are flesh desires, we will miss God’s righteousness. Therefore, we must stop attempting to establish our own righteousness and acquire the righteousness that comes through a personal relationship with Christ. This relationship can only come through His body, the church. You cannot have a relationship with a person without coming in contact with that person. It is there that we submit to the righteousness of God.
