Title

Are You A Promise Keeper?

Scripture
So the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as He had promised him…
(1 Kings 5:12)
Devotional
The God of the Bible is the God of His word. Mankind on the other hand is a violator of his word. He will seldom keep it on a regular basis. God can and doe change His mind. However, He will never change His word. It will always stand true. Because of our sinful nature, we more than often change our words with statements such as, “That is not what I meant.” We twist words, make excuses and flat out tell lies to cover the violation of our word. The Lord God always means what He says and always says what He means. When He promised Solomon wisdom, He simply delivered. He may not have given him wisdom the way that Solomon expected; nevertheless, He gave it to Him that the Father would be glorified. The scripture is clear, “All the promises of God…are Yes, and …Amen, to the glory of God through us.” How about you?
