Scripture
Therefore you shall be careful to do as the Lord your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.(Deuteronomy 5:32)
Devotional
Our walk with Christ is to be a focused walk. We are to keep our eyes fixed on Him and His will for our lives. We are to look only where we wish to go. We are not to take our eyes off the road we travel. In my younger days of racing motorcycles, I learned a very important lesson: never look where you do not wish to go. The body has a way of following the eyes. It is of thoroughly important to find your line and then follow it. We must likewise be careful in following Christ. The enemy will do all that he can to turn our eyes to the left or to the right. He will put seemingly good paths around us to distract us from the best path. There is no room for carelessness on the road of life. Jesus said it this way, “Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”Daily Reading
