Title

“The Way Of Life”

Scripture
He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, but he who refuses correction goes astray.
(Proverbs 10:17)
Devotional
What a wonderful phrase, “The way of life.” Throughout the book of Acts, the church is called “The Way.” When we think of being instructed in the Way, we must think of the church. The church is where the government of God is established. Therefore, when we understand the government of God we understand the “Way of life.” When we receive instruction we are going the right way. When we refuse it, we are going the wrong way. People of the Way are teachable. They readily receive correction when needed. They know that God’s Word is true and that they are to subject themselves to its instruction. The Bible further says that, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. The way of death is the way of the Unteachable. It is the way of those who refuse correction. We are to examine ourselves. Are we on the “The Way of life,” or “The way of death.” One keeps instruction the other refuses correction.
