Title

Lord, When Did We Serve You?

Scripture
“Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.”
(Matthew 25:40)
Devotional
We cannot serve God without serving His children. There are simply no Lone-Rangers in the kingdom of God. Neither is any man an island. You and I cannot serve God without being affiliated with His church. It is impossible. The church of Jesus Christ cannot function without the body of Christ. They are one-in-the-same. If you call yourself a Christian, then you must serve the least of these My brethren. Being a good person, is not good enough. You must belong to Christ, and if you belong to Christ you will serve in His church. You cannot have one without the other. Therefore, if you belong to a Bible believing church, serve there. If you do not belong to a Biblical church find one. Begin to serve. Begin to meet the needs of God’s people. When you serve them, you serve Christ. Then you can hear Christ say, “I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.”

On February 10th, Joanna said:
This verse arrests me. It convicts me of my sinful nature. We will surely answer for every careless thought, word, or deed we have. I would never want to speak to the Lord the way I am tempted to speak to others. How can we ever say we love the Lord and hate our neighbor? Jesus said in the parable " 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My bretheren, you did it to Me.' " Perhaps, we should substitute our own names in this verse. This verse belongs on my mirror, front door, and dashboard. I need to apply it to my spouse, children, grand children, friends, co-workers, and even my enemies.
