Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.”(Matthew 12:25)
Devotional
Whether it be a divided house, business, country or church, Jesus says that they will come to ruin. We cannot expect a marriage to succeed with two separate lifestyles. For example, there is great danger in having two separate check-books. When you divide the money, you have divided the heart. Jesus said, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Any business without a singleness of purpose will eventually dissolve. A morally polarized government will fall just as ancient Rome fail. Likewise a church without unity of the Spirit will scatter its sheep. Herein is Satan’s nearly foolproof plan of attack. If he can put a diabolical wedge between you and your spouse, you and your business, you and your country or you and your church, he can bring you to desolation. Therefore, when you see a division coming, resist it. Seek the unity that is found only in Christ. and you will stand.Daily Reading
