Title

Great Prayers Are Worth Studying

Scripture
He turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying, "Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
(2 Kings 20:41308)
Devotional
I like what Oswald Chambers said about prayer, "Tell Him what you know He knows... get to know it as He does."[32] Hezekiah was a good king. He did his best. As soon as Isaiah told him to set his house in order, he did not question or wait until a convenient time, he turned and prayed immediately. And in his prayer he articulated what was on his heart. He prayed honestly and fervently. We can learn everything there is to know about prayer by reading the prayers of the scriptures. We read that: Abraham prayed, Moses prayed, Manoah prayed, Hanna prayed, Samuel prayed, Elijah prayed, Elisha prayed, Job prayed, Daniel prayed, Jonah prayed and the apostles prayed. The only one recorded in the scriptures that prayed more than Hezekiah was Jesus. Read these prayers and learn from those who not only had their prayers answered, but whose prayers changed the world.
