Title

Praise Is Crystal Clear

Scripture
Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the assembly of saints.
(Psalm 149:1)
Devotional
Every Christian I have ever known has desired to know the explicit will of the Lord. Every believer has prayed, “Lord, what would you have me to do?” Please take a good look at our text. Read it a couple of times. What does it clearly require? It requires that we would praise Him, that we would praise Him in song, and that we would praise Him in the assembly of the saints. This declaration is Crystal clear. It is explicit. It is not a metaphor, nor is it a euphemism. Here we have the unclouded and unadulterated Word of God. God clearly requires and inhabits the praises of His people. Praise is manly. The apostle Paul instructed Timothy, “I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” Praise is fitting. Psalm 147 says, “Praise… is good… it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.”
