Title

The Majesty Of The Kingdom

Scripture
There are three things which are majestic… yes, four which are stately… a lion… a greyhound… a male goat… and a king whose troops are with him.
(Proverbs 30:29-31)
Devotional
Here we find that creation is an awesome teacher. We can learn nobility and majesty from the animal kingdom to the kingdom of man. We can see majesty in the pride of a lion; beauty in the sleekness of the graceful greyhound; dignity in the mountain ram, and success in a king whose troops are with him. These examples are not given so that we can merely see these characteristics in nature, but that we might acquire them in ourselves. The greatest of God’s kingdom is the child of the king. Christians are to exhibit majesty, stateliness, and dignity with godliness and humility. Mediocrity is not fitting for children of the King. Man is to manifest the dignified behavior that God intended him to have. Believers are to behave in a manner fitting as ambassadors of heaven. After all, we “…are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…”
