Title

The Bank Of Time

Scripture
Man is like a breath; His days are like a passing shadow.
(Psalm 144:4)
Devotional
On average, man is given seventy years of days. Our text compares our lives to a breath and a passing shadow. Psalm 139 says, “Surely every man is (like a) vapor.” Therefore, the most precious asset we have is our time. Time spent is time spent forever. Time wasted is time wasted forever. Time pays dividends. Well-spent time brings its rewards: a fuller richer life and blessings in heaven. On the other hand, time wasted requires payment: it will cost you your dreams and heavenly rewards. Each of us is given the same amount of time each day: 24 hours, 1,440 minutes, and 86,400 seconds. How we spend these increments of time today will determine how we live tomorrow. From the wealthiest to the poorest, each draws from the same time account. How are you spending your most valuable resource? Are you investing it wisely or are you squandering it away?
