Title

We Judge What We Are

Scripture
Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the judge is standing at the door.
(James 5:9)
Devotional
God very seriously hates complaining and griping.  Grumbling is repulsive to God. Listen to what He says in Psalm 50, “You sit and speak against your brother, you slander your own mother’s son. These things you have done, and I kept silent; you thought that I was altogether like you; but I will rebuke you…” We grumble and complain against each other because we judge each other. And we judge according to our own actions. We judge others because of the evil intent of our own hearts. We judge what we are. If we judge others as liars, it is because we would lie if in their situation. If we judge others as adulterers, again, it is because we would be adulterers if we were in the same circumstances. God says do not grumble against one another, lest you be condemned. Behold, the true Judge, the Lord Jesus Christ, is at the door.
