Title

Satan Hindered Us

Scripture
Therefore we wanted to come to you-even I, Paul, time and again-but Satan hindered us.
(1 Thessalonians 2:18)
Devotional
If you think that you can do the Lord’s will without the enemy attempting to stop you, you are mistaken. God’s will can be thwarted. When man yields to Satan’s hindrances, the will of the Lord is checked. Satan hindered God’s messenger to Daniel. God is not willing that any should perish, but people do. Satan can and does hinder, but our God will always prevail. We likewise have to understand that the enemy is real and that he is able to hinder. When we do, we then are able to defeat his hindrances by the power of God, which is the word of God. Jude says that, “Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil… dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, ‘The Lord rebuke you.’” Therefore, when the enemy is hindering you, turn him over to the Lord, resist him and he will flee from you.
