Title

Finding Strength Through Weakness

Scripture
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
(2 Corinthians 12:10)
Devotional
Paul’s weakness was always related to his relationship and service to Christ. He did not consider his weakness a justification for sin. He considered his weakness a means for Christ to be glorified in his life. When we have done all that we can do to stand and what we have done is insufficient, then Christ can receive the glory. We must understand that sin is not the weakness of which the apostle Paul is speaking. Sin is a weakness of the will. The weaknesses of which he is speaking are those that come to us from without. They are areas of our life of which we have very little or no control. Paul was basically saying, when there are situations in my life that our out of my control, I rejoice; for then in my weakness I am strong, and my strength is in the Lord.
