Title

Never Trivialize Sin

Scripture
Against You, You only have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight-
(Psalm 51:4)
Devotional
We may wrong others, but for the most part, we sin only against God. Evil thoughts, wrong ideas, and bad attitudes are all sins against our Creator. When we are alone we may violate our conscience, but our sin is against God. No matter what the sin, that sin is directed towards the Lord our God. Therefore, there is no such thing as a sin that goes not hurt anybody. Every time we sin that sin goes to Calvary. Each sin must be paid for at the cross. When we sin, Christ pays the price. Peter says, “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed.” Every sin matters. Every sin hurts. The wages of every sin is death. Never take it lightly. Never see sin as petty. Always repent of it. Always turn from it. Say as the psalmists, “I acknowledge my transgression, and my sin is always before me.”
