Title

Cry To The Lord

Scripture
I cried out to You, O Lord; and to the Lord I made supplication.
(Psalm 30:8)
Devotional
Supplication is to petition God humbly, yet urgently. There are times in life that we are to cry out to God with a sense of urgency. When there is an impending disaster or an absolute time limit on a situation, call out to God. When you find yourself with no where to turn, call out to Him. When you are at the end of your proverbial rope, cry to the Lord. When there is no more strength to carry on, cry out to the Lord. Once you have done so, let your supplication be known. Plead your case before the great Judge of the Universe. Beg for mercy and deliverance. The Lord God is a good God. He will answer the urgent call. However, remember, we will never take Him by surprise. He is in control. He knows every need and every dilemma. After you have cried out to God, then rest in Him. Trust in His ability to deliver you. As a frightened child will find solace in the arms of a loving parent, find comfort in the arms of a loving God.
