Am I Playing The Harlot?

Scripture
She was loud and rebellious, her feet would not stay at home.
(Proverbs 7:11)
Devotional
Our text is the antithesis of what God requires of the godly. Peter says that the godly are to, “Rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.” It has been said that those who know the least, know it the loudest. Have you ever noticed that those who are guilty claim their innocents with anger and are usually loud? A loud and rebellious renegade is repulsive to God and the godly. How can anyone stand in the presence of God arrogantly? Yet, we dare to do just that. Some sadly think that boisterous arrogance is somehow becoming. Boisterous behavior may be entertaining, but it will soon exhaust its welcome. Listen to what the apostle Paul instructs the older women to teach the younger, “…Love their husbands…their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.”
