Title

Lord, I Believe?

Scripture
And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I can do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
(Matthew 9:28)
Devotional
I am like the man who wanted Jesus to heal his epileptic son. He said to Jesus, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.” I do believe that Jesus can heal, save, and restore; I just sometime have a hard time believing that He will. I have had the privilege of seeing God heal the sick and save the wicked. However, there are times that I know without a doubt that God is calling me to a certain task. Yet, I still find myself doubting my beliefs and believing my doubts. Nevertheless, God remains faithful. My job is to trust Him whether I believe for sure or not. This must be the working of faith. Faith seems to demand hope and hope leaves room for doubt. When the Lord asks me, “Do you believe that I can do this?”, I reply with hope, “Yes, Lord.” Sometimes I answer, “Yes, Lord?” Therefore, I have to make a choice. I am determined to stand on the side of faith and believe God.
