Title

The-Lord-Will-Provide

Scripture
And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide...
(Genesis 22:14)
Devotional
When the Lord calls us to a sacrifice, He inevitably supplies that sacrifice. The purpose of a sacrifice is not to meet a need of God, but that we may understand our need of faith. God never intended for Abraham to offer his son Isaac as a sacrifice. However, God very much did intend to cause Abraham to exercise his faith. When God calls us to a sacrifice, He will make us walk it out. He will cause us to walk by faith. We may not always understand. We may not always see a way out, nevertheless, God will always remain faithful. God will always supply that which He has called us to give. However, it will always require faith, always. Abraham did not go to the mountain knowing that God would stop him from taking the life of his only son. He went trusting in the integrity of God. He went obeying. You can be sure, that when the Lord calls you to a sacrificial task that The-Lord-Will-Provide.
