Who Do You Know?

Scripture
And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”
(Acts 19:15)
Devotional
In the spiritual realm, it is not necessarily what you know that counts as much as it is Who you know and who knows you. Christianity is not a religion of merely knowledge. It is a belief organism based on a relationship with Jesus Christ. Anytime we attempt to have a religion based on knowledge only there will be vulnerability toward evil. Whenever we aspire to live religious lives without Christ, we are doomed for failure. Whenever we attempt to fight against the principalities and powers of darkness in our own strength, we will not only lose every time, we will lose profusely. It does not matter what you know until you are related to Christ through the finished work of Calvary. Even then you must be filled with the Holy Spirit. We never want to war with the enemy in the flesh, because the battle belongs to the Lord.
