Why do we have an abundance of so called "Hate crimes" in our society? Why such a high rate of divorce? Why has our love grown cold? Jesus answers the question in a word, and that word is "Lawlessness." We have no restraints, no boundaries to guide us. Proverbs says, "Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law."[9] Lawlessness is protected by law in our land. Things that God calls abhorrent are lawful and promoted: abortion, homosexuality and all forms of lasciviousness. The apostle Paul instructs Timothy clearly with regard to the law, "The law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderersDaily Reading
