Title

Am I Living Accordingly?

Scripture
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
(Romans 8:5)
Devotional
What is the difference between living according to the flesh and according to the Spirit? Quite simply, it comes down to a matter of violation. If, for example, you violate God’s Word you are living according to the flesh. If you violate your conscience, you most likely are living according to the flesh. If you violate your word, your marriage, or commitments, again, you are living according to the flesh. Therefore, living according to the Spirit is living in obedience to the Word of God. It is keeping your word, your commitments, and marriage vows. Living according to the Spirit is having a clear conscience before a holy God. When we live according to the Spirit, we are mindful of our prayer and devotional life. We are faithful to the Body of Christ, His Church. When we live according to the Spirit, we grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Thank you for this message. It is hard to live in the spirit at all times but we must always remember who we serve and put our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. What a blessing it is to know that we have a forgiving God and a redeemer that saved us from our sins.

Praise be to God. Amen.
