Title

The Advantage Of Age

Scripture
And when forty years had passed, an Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire in a bush, in the wilderness of Mount Sinai.
(Acts 7:30)
Devotional
Moses had a remarkable life. He should have died at birth, yet he was raised and educated in pharaoh’s household. When he was forty years old, he killed an Egyptian while defending one of the children of Israel. Because of this offense, he left Egypt and lived in the wilderness for forty years. Now at the age of eighty, I am sure he thought that his life was interesting at best, but most likely ending. Yet, God in His patients was ready to use him, and Moses was ready to be used. Age matters not to God. He can use an infant or the aged. Therefore, we cannot use our age as an excuse for not accomplishing God’s will for our lives. We can never say to God, “I am too young,” or “I am too old.” It is never too early to start, nor is it ever too late not to change. Therefore, take advantage of your age; never let it hinder you.
