Title

Honest With God And Me

Scripture
O God, You know my foolishness; And my sins are not hidden from You.
(Psalm 69:5)
Devotional
Foolishness is but another word for sinfulness. They go hand-in-hand. They are inseparable. Even though we may not know our own foolishness, God does. He knows and understands us far better than we do ourselves. The fool seldom, if ever, acknowledges that he is a fool. He is smugly content with fooling himself. He continues to perform the same misdeeds with great anticipation for success. The fool usually perceives everyone else to be a fool. He will eventually even judge God as foolish. Before we drop to this low level, confess to God, “O God, You know my foolishness, And my sins are not hidden from You.” Ask God to reveal the foolishness of your ways. When He reveals them to you, confess them to Him, and seek repentance. Make this a part of your regular prayer life. When your endeavors are failing, ask God to show you the error of your ways.
