Title

Men Of Vagrant To Men Of Valor

Scripture
And everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him. So he became captain over them
(1 Samuel 22:2)
Devotional
God chooses and uses ordinary people. One man after God’s own heart can transform four-hundred vagrants into mighty men of valor. David’s army was an army of people with nowhere to go but up. God chooses and uses people who will give Him the glory for the success they achieve. The apostle Paul said to the Corinthians, “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.” He did not say, “Not any,” but “Not many.” God is in the transforming business. He desires to make and mold men into the image of His dear Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. He desires to choose and use you for the glory of His name. We may not all immediately be like David. However, we can all be people of valor, and we can become people after God’s own heart.
