Title

God Said Rest

Scripture
The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.
(Mark 2:27-28)
Devotional
After God created the heavens and the earth, He rested. He did so as an example to His creation; stating that it is a good thing to rest. God has gifted man with one day in seven to refresh himself both physically and spiritually. God commands, “Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest…” Man sometimes feels guilty taking a day of rest because he often works “halfhearted” the other six. God calls the things He does work. Thus, it‘s good for man to work. It is also very good for man to take a Sabbath-the day we call, The Lord’s Day. This is the day God’s people come together to inter into His rest. It is a day of praise and worship; fellowship and feeding on His word. The Lord’s Day quite simply is a wonderful day of restful refreshing. It is a Sabbath unto the Lord.

The background is dark blue now with white lettering and it is easy to read. The black lettering on blue was very difficult.

Thank you.
