How are we to let our lights shine in a darkened world? Our good works are not the light. Our light is to shine so that others might see them. There is obviously something that illuminates our good works, not for the sake of the works, but that through them others would glorify God. The question remains. What is the light? First we have to understand that light always stands out in darkness. Thus, we are to be different than the world. We are to be different in our behavior, integrity, and expression of our love for God. We are to behave in a godly manner, walk in the integrity of Christ, and express our love through worship and praise. The brightest light that shines before men is worship and praise. “He has put a new song in my mouth-praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and trust in the Lord.”Daily Reading
