Title

Doing The Senseless

Scripture
And Noah did according to all that the Lord commanded him.
(Genesis 7:5)
Devotional
Noah obviously trusted in the Lord with all his heart, and he surly didn’t lean on his own understanding. God told Noah to build a giant boat in the middle of an arid desert land. We need to understand, that it had never rained. The land was watered by the dew of the morning. The world was a perfect green house. Just think about God’s direction to six hundred year old Noah: It’s going to rain. It had never rained. Build this huge ship, just for you and your family. Gather all the animals in the world by at least two’s and put them in the boat. And Noah said, “Yes Lord.” We have a hard time obeying the Lord with the things that we know we should be doing, let alone obeying the Lord in the things we don’t understand. We must learn to be like Noah. we must be willing to do according to all the Lord commands us.
