Title

Mandatum Novum Do Vobis

Scripture
You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.
(John 13:13-14)
Devotional
We are not only to follow the example of Christ; we are to submit to His inclinations. I see a sacrament in our text. (A sacrament being a visible form of God's invisible grace.) Tradition has called the night in which Christ washed the disciples feet and established the Lord's Table: Maundy Thursday. It is derived from the Latin: "Mandatum novum do vobis"
